About Us
words
We challenge attitudes to mental illness and aim to make a difference both locally and nationally to mental health services.

We are pro-active and hold conferences, workshops and meetings and invite speakers who share their knowledge & experience about treatments, policies and cutting edge research.

As well as supporting each other to find the best services & support for our loved ones and ourselves, we encourage new members to join us in making a difference. We will keep you updated about news & events on our website.

Mental Illness
If someone develops a serious life changing physical illness such as cancer or MS, most people would feel sympathetic and offer help & support for their changing circumstances and needs. However, even in 2017, this is still not the case with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bi-polar or borderline personality disorder.

Although medical treatments for symptoms such as psychosis and depression have come a long way in the last 50 years, there are still no cures and side-effects of the medications are still unacceptable.

Great strides are being made by a new medical science called Neuro-biology, and we will keep you updated about developments on the research page of our website.
